ChatHealth service
Livewell Southwest has launched a confidential text messaging service for parents, carers and young people in Plymouth.
The ChatHealth service makes it easier to get advice, support or appointments from health visitors and school nurses by text.
Available Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm, the service allows users to ask questions about a wide range of issues including child development, emotional wellbeing, breastfeeding and sexual health. Messages are responded to within one working day, with automated guidance provided outside of service hours.
ChatHealth is designed to be quick, discreet and non-judgemental, helping families and young people access support in a way that feels comfortable and accessible.
Dedicated text numbers are available for parents of children aged 0–5, parents of children aged 5–10, and young people aged 11–19.
